For most beginners, our basic 5-gallon pot will work great. All-grain homebrewers will need to boil the full volume of their wort, so our 10 Gallon or 15 Gallon Brew Pots are perfect. Plan for the future homebrew days and buy a brew pot or kettle that’s at least 1.5 times your batch size. For a 5-gallon batch, we recommend a 10 Gallon Brew Pot. Going twice as large protects you against a boilover.

Bigger is always better. No problem with doing 5 gallon batches in a 15 gal or larger kettle. I typically do 6, 10 and 15 gallon gallon batches in my 20 gallon pot, but evbery once in a while I do a 5 gallon in there and I have not had a single issue arise form it.

Can cold brew steep for 8 hours?

✔️
You should cold brew coffee for about 16 hours. After the first 8 hours the caffeine is infused into the water, and the more you let it sit the more flavor will be extracted from the ground coffee. The first 8 hours are when the caffeine in your coffee is extracted, no more will steep after that.

✔️
If your Keurig is plugged in, the water is all heated up but when you press the ‘brew’ button, it does not brew the cup of coffee- there is a possibility of a blockage somewhere in the unit. If everything seems to be in its place and you’re using K-cups , still if your Keurig doesn’t brew, you might want to clean or reset it.
