There's actually a Black Pepper Saison in the homebrew recipes forum that I made with good results. I think if I remember correctly there was 2 tsp of crushed black pepper added at flameout. A little goes a long way, but that adds a subtle peppery-ness that compliments the yeast well, IMO. #16 Lukass, Apr 21, 2016.
I have used black pepper in beers before but I was always concerned that it would be too overpowering. You can start to detect it with just 8 or 10 little peppercorns crushed and either boiled in the last couple minutes of your boil or soaked in an ounce of vodka and adding this spiced vodka at bottling/kegging time. It can add a great complexity.
0.75 oz Sichuan Peppercorn. 1.25 oz Grains of Paradise. 2.75 oz Coriander Seed. 1.5 oz Sweet Orange Peel. 1.5 oz Bitter Orange Peel. 1.25 oz Organic Tellicherry Black Pepper. Anyone fabricate your own brew kettles?
Edit: so that is about as far as I went in my own personal analysis - $76 + S&H + other incidental materials + some tools + hassle of forming a pot to get about a 14 gallon vessel versus $120ish total for a 15.5 gallon container shipped to my door. I decided not to fabricate. I didn't dig too far for material sources though.

I love Jameson, I love coffee liqueur, and I love cold brew. It somehow managed to not do it for me on any of these. Maybe you can do something with it when combined with some coffee to make an Irish coffee or with some vodka to make a black Russian variant.
