I have sometimes thought that Cardamom seed would be interesting to use also as it is very aromatic in a citrusy sort of way, has anyone used or heard of using Cardamon in the brew? Yes I've had a saison or two with cardamom. And Northern Monk's Bombay Dazzler, which is described as an Indian Witbier. It was designed for an Indian restaurant.

Have a Dutch Ale aging, Dark as motor oil and and a deep rich taste. Also have a Mexican Cerveza waiting to be bottled, same color, but lighter taste. One of the Wit kegs I used 15 mL of the extract, the other I used 24 tea bags from Tazzo Tea which contain Peppermint, Spearamint, and Tarragon (the tarragon imparts little to no flavor by the way). I thought to use the extract keg first in order to give the "tea" keg time to absorb flavor.

Anyone fabricate your own brew kettles?
Edit: so that is about as far as I went in my own personal analysis - $76 + S&H + other incidental materials + some tools + hassle of forming a pot to get about a 14 gallon vessel versus $120ish total for a 15.5 gallon container shipped to my door. I decided not to fabricate. I didn't dig too far for material sources though.

I have never done it before and don't know a lot about it, but it's something that I wouldn't mind giving a try. Is brewing beer a difficult process? is it an expensive hobby? Any beer brewers care to share their experiences? I think I would try to brew a more main stream beer, a lager perhaps

I love Jameson, I love coffee liqueur, and I love cold brew. It somehow managed to not do it for me on any of these. Maybe you can do something with it when combined with some coffee to make an Irish coffee or with some vodka to make a black Russian variant. I don't love it solo as much as I wanted, but I'm excited to see what I can make with it.

I love craft beer I'm not going to lie but I do hate paying $8-10 for a 6 pack every few days and would like to know if anyone here regularly brews their own. I've seen some fairly cheap home brew kits but wondering if anyone has any recommendations for what they use and if there is even any cost savings in brewing your own versus buying.
