To get the best tasting and most enjoyable chamomile tea, you should really not steep for long at all. For every 8 ounces of water you have in your mug, you should only steep for t hree to five minutes! Steeping for longer can have an adverse effect and alter the taste of your tea negatively.

Empty your teapot or mug of the tap water and add the chamomile to this container. Pour water from the kettle over the chamomile and cover. This helps to fully release the oils and matricin from the flower, enhancing the taste and medicinal components of your cup of tea. Steep (let sit) for about 5 minutes.

But oolong should be steeped longer than black tea, for around 5 to 8 minutes. Green tea –You will need to be more gentle with your green teas. The water temperature should be around 150 to 160 F and only steeped for 2 to 4 minutes. White tea –Another delicate tea that should be treated gently.

3. Cover the pitcher and place in the refrigerator for 6+ hours. Use the chart on the blog as a guide to tell how long your tea needs to be cold brewing. 4. Taste test your cold steep tea to see if it’s to your liking. If it is too strong, simply mix in more cold water. When it is perfect, remove/strain tea leaves. 5. Pour a glass and enjoy!

✔️
You should cold brew coffee for about 16 hours. After the first 8 hours the caffeine is infused into the water, and the more you let it sit the more flavor will be extracted from the ground coffee. The first 8 hours are when the caffeine in your coffee is extracted, no more will steep after that.

A little goes a long way, too: Cold-brewing concentrates the flavor, so it's typically diluted 50/50 with water, milk, ice cubes, or other liquids. And unlike hot-brewed coffee, which tastes drastically different after it cools, cold-brewed's flavor doesn't change, which means you can keep a stash in the fridge for up to two weeks.
